We will reply by email with available appointment times, 

a form to pre-select your wig choices, and detailed information about wigs and wig care.

Call prior to your appointment with your wig choices, or send by email and your wigs will be waiting for you! This is especially helpful for home visits.

What happens during a wig consultation?

Many clients arrive apprehensive, understandably so. The series of events surrounding the need of a wig may be an emotional experience. My goal is to make this process as positive of an experience as I possibly can.

A brief part of the consultation is our "Wig Clinic" consisting of detailed information about wig education and wig care.  Many clients have expressed that they did not get personalized and individualized attention and wig education in the retail setting. You will then have ample time to try on your selection of wigs. We have the latest colors and styles in short, medium and long, as well as toppers.

I'm not experiencing hair loss, can I still make an appointment?

Absolutely, we would love to help you select a wig!  Wigs are back in style in a big way!  You don't have to be a medical hair loss client to make an appointment with us.  We love sharing our excitement about wigs with everyone!  Regardless of your need for a wig, we would love to help you. Our private office is the perfect setting for all wig lovers or soon-to-be wig lovers! Wigs are lightweight, natural and realistic.  Wigs are perfect for travel, weddings, special events and for every day. Wigs are a huge time saver. Kiss bad hair days goodbye because when you wear a wig you always have perfect hair!

Can I bring someone else to the appointment with me?

Absolutely! We just ask that only one guest be brought with you at this time. Often the person you bring will ask to try on wigs as well, however, this is your appointment, and I want all the attention to go to you.  Your guest is encouraged to make their own appointment.

Will my insurance company pay for my wig?

Your private insurance company may provide up to $350 reimbursement after the purchase of your wig.

Medicaid may also help to pay for your wig if related to medical hair loss.

Below is a list of information your insurance provider may require:

* Proof of purchase such as a paid receipt, check, or credit card bill.

* The Wig Boutique's tax ID # (furnished upon balance payment)

* An order from your doctor for a “Cranial Prosthesis”.

* Billing Code # (most common is A9282)

Purchasing Your Wig

A $75 deposit is required to secure the order of your wig.  Deposit is non-refundable for any reason after 72 hours (includes weekends and holidays).  Balance is due at time of delivery.  Delivery time is approximately 7-10 business days. We accept all forms of payment.  A wig purchase can also be made at any time by simply contacting the office by phone or using the contact form link.  

To be able to service more clients experiencing hair loss, beginning March 1, 2023 full payment will be due at time of order and your wig will be shipped directly to you at no additional cost.  

CT Sales Tax

Wigs are subject to 6.35% CT sales tax according to ruling - CT Gen. Stat 12-412(19) "Sales of wigs are not exempt from sales and use tax, even when sold to person's afflicted with a disease, a direct or indirect result of which is hair loss." The exception is for individuals that quality for disability.

Return Policy

Due to the nature of the product and personalized service, wigs cannot be returned or exchanged. This is an industry standard making all sales final.  A merchandise credit for the same style and color is offered within 7 days of delivery in the unlikely event of a manufacture defect. If a wig has been cut or altered in any way the credit is denied.
